COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our customers can’t get enough of this amber ale that was orginally brewed with hemp seeds, but tastes just as good without them.

Nose of dry plum, sweet alcohol, late hops, feel is mediumbroad with watery carb, taste is peaches, mild malt, late weak iron and raisin.

On tap at PP Carlsbad. A decent amber ale that was not too memorable, but it was a good warmup for the Poor Man that came after.

3.3
ChazMania (669) - Oceanside, California, USA - AUG 9, 2010
Growler fill from Carlsbad; They were really limited on what beers they would do a growler of, and I normally would not have got this but it was one of the only choices. It pours the color of an IPA, amber/orange. Mild aroma. It is a straight up amber style beer, easy to drink but is not my preferred style.

Hazy amber with a medium off white head. Aroma had toasted malt, caramel, fruity hops and hints of pine. Flavour came out dry with toasted malt, caramel, pine and fruity hops. Finished dry and bitter.

3.3

This low score may be due to the fact that I had this at a hop festival, so the high malts in this just didn’t sit right. The malts are definitely stronger than the hops in this boy.

a nice reddish color. a little on the fizzy side. good mild malt taste to it. more of an amber basic ale than a spice/herb/veg.

TomDecapolis (4636) - Milton, Delaware, USA - MAY 12, 2010
Tap at Carlsbad. Pours a hazy amber with golden notes and a smaller bubbly white head. Aroma of toast malt, some caramel malt and some light floral and citrus hops. Flavor of toasted malt, caramel malt, herbal hops notes. Kind of an average pale ale.

3.5
mastabass666 (277) - California, USA - APR 28, 2010
Growler from PP Carlsbad. Pours perfectly clear amber with a thin persistent head. Aroma-toasted malt, molasses, nutty, yeast, mild hops. Taste- rich, sweet, bready, nutty. Very slight hint of smoke in both the aroma and flavor. Light-medium body, easy-drinkin’ goodshit.

3.3
hellbilly (3306) - scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA - MAR 28, 2010
on tap 1/23/2010 at papago. brown shade of bright copper with a trim off white head. pale malt, earthy, herbal aroma with notes of citrus, pine and woodiness (hemp seeds?). the flavor is the same... dry clean and crisp... quite earthy and woody. medium bodied and quite sessionable... if it tasted better. 6/3/6/4/14/3.3
