Part of the final four competition that the HIGH DIVE is putting on. Great event every Friday... Pour a very apple ciderish red with a bubble bath head.. the smell is intense, I sense a funky slightly piney aroma that sticks hard to the nostrils...To be honest, its a very sticky icky type smell if you catch my drift.. The palate punch is good but not not fantastic, a little grainy on the tail end but mostly this same chronic type taste.. Not as malty as I might expect from an amber but not bad.. definitely a vibe all to own... SuperDave (1932) - Beautiful Sunny Mesa, Arizona, USA - MAR 8, 2010
Tap at Pap. Some light sweet roast and a touch of citrus hop. Not bad but nothing too fantastic. ryan (3186) - Beltsville, Maryland, USA - MAR 3, 2010
Damn, I thought this was a lager, it was so nice and clean. Anyway... Nice doughy malts, cracker, light honey. Well attenuated, a touch of hops, light body. Nice session. AlabastorJones (814) - Seattle, Washington, USA - FEB 16, 2010
Amber brown color with no head, crystal clear, aroma is sweet barley, flavor is sweet barley... sort of bland and one dimensional, not a stand out... I really thought that a beer called ’chronic’ would have a big upfront columbus nose. False advertising if you ask me. It was a disappointment but it is a clean ale that is well balanced, just a little bland. twistedviews (75) - California, USA - SEP 13, 2009
on tap at pizza port san clemente up my street... golden with white head, reminds me of a fat tire.

Amber orange with thin white head; nose is caramel and grassy hops, subtle; flavor is also caramel with hint of nuts; thin texture with moderate carbonation; a decent amber with medium bitterness and light hop flavor, nothing stands out here. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUL 21, 2009
On tap. Clear golden with an off-white head. Fresh and somewhat peachy hop aroma. Medium body, a little caramel and fruit before a dry and lightly hoppy finish. 060709 SamGamgee (2452) - down the whirlpool, California, USA - JUL 8, 2009
Draught at the brewpub. Dark amber-brown with a white head. Light caramel, herbal spice and light hops in the aroma. The flavor has toasty and light caramel malts with just balancing hops and a hempy spice. Medium-light body with medium carbonation. Nice balance of flavors with the addition of the hemp spiciness. On tap at the brewpub in San Clemente. Pours a clear, copper-orange body with a thin, cream-white head that dissipates slowly and leaves lots of thick, layered lacing. Sweet and malty aroma with lots of caramels. A light amount of toasted toffees, fruit, nut, and earthy citrus. Similar flavor, more noticeable earthy bitterness and more bready than the aroma. Medium bodied and finishes slightly dry with a soft hop linger. Overall, a solid, well balanced amber ale with more spice than most. nickd717 (4643) - San Francisco, California, USA - MAY 6, 2009
Tap at Boonville Beer Fest. Reddish-amber color with a white head. Aroma of sweet malt, fruity notes, and mild hops. Flavor is sweet caramel malt, spicy/fruity notes, and some hops. Medium palate. Hemp? Uh...if you say so.
