Copper orangeade, a thin ring of lace surrounded shy little head islands dancing in the center.

Almost a white wine acidic/fruity crispness in the nose, the hops eventually come out quite juicy, like sweet strawberries.
My first couple of sips didn’t register much for me, carbonation was quite lively and it tasted pretty light, with a dry, if sudden finish. Very low hops. It did end up growing on me, enough to say that this is a pretty decent Beer that, granted, looks pretty pale next to the competiton at Pizza Port, but it would easily beat every other "Amber" ale I’ve had at just about every other brewpub I’ve been to in the States in a head-to-head tasting. At least this one smelled nice.
this had a nice head.Color a pleasant amber.Aroma was somewhat fragrant. It tasted very smooth.I don’t usually care much for the light beers, but this was good.Got it on tap at the source!! SledgeJr (3577) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - JUN 26, 2006
On tap at The Local in SD. Pours a light amber with a medium white head. Sweet floral aroma from the hops. medium caramel sweetness and a swell bitter citrus hop finish. Has a discernable tea flavor, but I’m not getting any acetaldehyde mentioned by Bück Dich. Maybe my ADH activity isn’t high enough? jennajlover (135) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUN 14, 2006
Amber body withl white head. Hoppy nose caramel malt flavors. Godd bitterness to the finish. Very crisp.

Amber body with minimal white head. Hoppy aroma to start but moves into caramel notes. Flavour is fruity and herby with a nice bitterness to the finish. mjg74 (3116) - La Mesa, California, USA - APR 28, 2006
Tap. Pours a brown/amber color. Sweet slightly hoppy aroma. Burnt hoppy flavor right up front. Some caramel notes. Sweet slightly fruity finish. BückDich (5464) - McCall, Idaho, USA - APR 4, 2006
Draught at Pizza Port Carlsbadbeeryum (652) - Norcross, Georgia, USA - MAR 21, 2006
Pellucid amber color, caramel. Thin head and lacing. Nose is light with some crystal malt, a bit of doughy malt and some light hops to balance. Definitely on the lighter hoppy scale. Light acedylhide in the flavor when really puffed. A mediocre amber ale with a lightly hoppy and sharp/dry finish.
Tap @ Carlsbad from Dec 05. Coppery pour with some orange hints. Sweet malty flavors with a moderate body. A bit too sweet for a session beer for me. JasonG (776) - Salt Lake City, Utah, USA - JAN 6, 2006
Tap at San Clemente (I’m guessing the rating belongs here, since it’s not listed under san clemente and the brewers are the same): Light copper color with tiny white head. Aroma has peach, apples, honey, malt. Flavor is fruity, crisp; dry finish with a touch of bitterness.
