tap @ tap & bottle: Wow, this is certainly one of the more delicious pale ales I have had the pleasure of tasting. Appears perfectly clear with very light yellow hue. Nose is almost perfumey with notes of passion fruit and roses, really unexpected from a ’belgian pale ale’ as listed by the bar. The typical belgian esters only come on with aeration over time. Crisp mouthfeel and fairly neutral taste which borders on the mildly acidic. Aftertaste is again floral with some lactic acid-style refreshing tartness. Overall an excellent refresher at 4.5% abv.

on draft at brewery, light and clean. Nice tart profile,, mostly belgian flavors, little complexity and moderate drinkability.

Nice aromas and flavors of grainy malt with a slight bitter bite but a touch of sour. Some Belgian yeast as well. Golden color with a fizzy head and medium body.

A pale golden ale with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with banana esters, cloves, light orange pulp, nice. In mouth, a smooth fruity caramel malt with banana notes, oily mouth feel, light mineral notes, grassy hops, OK. On tap at Carlsbad location.

Clear gold with a white head. Light grainy aroma with a hint if fruit and Belgian yeast. Finish is stronger spice which makes up a bit for the overall lack of flavor. Decent.

Draught at the Pizza Port Carlsbad. Pale yellow colour with a small white head. Belgian yeast, hops and some mild sourness in the aroma. Awesome! The flavour is yeast, mild hops, mild lactic acid and malt. Very tasty. An excellent 4.2% brew. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

10/15/204. On tap at the brewpub. Pale yellow with a white head. Malty aromas with light fruit, yeast and grassy notes. A bit mellow and not my favorite.

Draft at the brewpub. Very pale yellow. Aroma of white pepper and malt. Unpleasant metallic taste, very watery. Best skipped.
