Draft @ the brewpub. Pours a dark amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty weak coffee and caramel aroma. Slightly roasted malty coffee and caramel flavor. Has a fruity malty caramel and coffee finish.
Draught at the brewpub. Nut brown. Dominated by roasty malt, but with a light soapy hop profile to accompany it. The mouthfeel is rounded and firm. A good, simple beer, but a mild would need softer mouthfeel to grab my attention.

On tap. Pours a clear warm brown with a nice beige head. The nose has a little sweet roast but also a strange sulphurous and phenolic off-flavor. Light body, some roast malt and sweet licorice. Nose is nutty, toffee, brown sugars, light hop presence, biscuit notes.
Taste comprises toffee, malty vibes, more biscuit, toasted brown sugars, light cocoa.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, lightly drying close.

A: The pour is a slightly muddled dark amber/mahogany color with a mild tan head. Ratman197 (15448) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - JUL 29, 2006
S: The nose is mild with some notes of sweet, bready malts and a touch of toffee.
T: The flavors follow the nose for the most part. The primary component of the beer is the malt which is lightly sweet and has plenty of bread and toffee flavor. There is a touch of bitterness to it as well.
M: The body is medium with a very low, smooth carbonation that you expect from the cask.
D: The flavors didn’t exactly excite me, but the beer was easy to drink and the low alcohol allows you to take it down easily.
On tap @ Pizza Port San Clemente poured a clear dark reddish brown with a minimal amber head. Aromas of roasted malt,cocoa, and nuts. Palate was light to medium bodied. Flavors of toasted malt, cocoa and nuts with a smooth mildly sweet finish.
