On tap at O’Brien’s in San Diego. This amber ale poured with a decent beige head. The flavor starts off sweet and malty with a sharp hop bite at the finish. It’s crisp and clean with a citrus kind of feel. Altogether a nicely balanced ale. jmcguire1969 (162) - Lafayette, Colorado, USA - OCT 11, 2007
I loved this one. Had it at the SoSun hop harvest 2007. It was the first of the lot so maybe had a bigger impression than the others...but this is the bomb! Great citrus and pine flavor with a nice bitterness to follow. Very well balanced and quaffable for an 8’er. SDbruboy (1864) - San Diego, California, USA - OCT 6, 2007
Draft at O’Briens. Arrived a bright clear medium amber color, with a small white head and spotty lace. Aroma is primarily of brash citrus and evergreen, with pine oil and spicy notes. Flavor of orange juice, grapefruit rind, dusty pine needles - this is an unrepentant hop bomb - leaves a puckering finish. Medium to full body with light carbonation. kp (10881) - Woodstock, Georgia, USA - SEP 1, 2007

Aroma: 7/10; Appearance: 4/10; Flavor: 7/10; Palate: 6/10; Overall: 10/20
Reddish orange with a beige head. Intense floral aroma with some noticable sweet malt. Huge upfront bitterness. Hops are mostly floral and piney. Very dry and resiny long after the sip is finished. There is some alcohol warmth as well.

Draft at San Clemente Pizza Port. Good amount of pine in this one, otherwise it is a pretty standard IIPA. alexanderj (3605) - Branson, Missouri, USA - JUL 14, 2007
Tap at San Clemente location; flavor was alot of fruit and caramel; pretty sweet actually. Good balance; solid but not spectacular. iowaherkeye (2703) - Ocean Beach, San Diego, California, USA - MAR 19, 2007
Had this on tap @ the brewpub as well as the following growler. Pours a clear orange with a 1/4 finger light yellowish beige head. Aroma of tangerines, pineapple, lemons, and some caramel biscuity malts. Very good. Some pine and scorched caramel are the main differences from the taste--tangerines, oranges, pineapple, and some caramel make up the rest of the flavor. Bitterness peaks @ a 6-7 our of 10. This growler is a week old so I can’t blame the pretty low carbonation. Medium to full body. Kick ass beer. fordest (2470) - Santee/San Diego, California, USA - MAR 2, 2007
Draft at O’Brien’s. Very hoppy aromas. Fruity more than floral. Hazy orange with no head (that may have been the bar wench’s fault). Very full body. Very malty up front which led to an excellent juicy hoppiness on the finish. Some sort of spice it seemed in the middle with a shot of strawberry ....really? ...huh! ...different, but very very good.
