Tap @ Mikkeller. Dark brown pour with a nice chestnut tone with a egg shell white head. Aroma is heavy on the raisins and yeast esters. Has a nice blackcurrant note to the esters. Some caramel maltiness, too, but over all pretty estery, as a dubbel should be. Taste is more light than the aroma suggests - there is a light tartness to it that hides very well behind the raisinous and estery sweetness. This is quite above any other dubbel I’ve had. Very nice! I could imagine that a sour cherry and brettanomyces version of this aged in an oak barrel would be through the roof. Holmen1 (6662) - Stavanger, NORWAY - OCT 11, 2012
fra fat på Mikkeller Ølbar: min første øl fra Pizza Port. Et hederlig forsøk på en belgisk dubbel, men ikke helt overbevist. De har ikke spart på rosinpakka. God, men belgierne gjør dette best. Theis (15150) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 10, 2012
Draught at MikkellerBAR. Clear dark brown - offwhite head. Raisins. Licorice. Sweetness. Phenolic. Ok malty. Light tartness. Ok - but too sweet. Ober (2811) - Bommelerwaard, NETHERLANDS - AUG 9, 2012
A clear dark brown colored beer, with a light beige head. The aroma of malts caramel, fruits and some spices. The taste is malty a little sour, with caramel, fruits and raisins. The aftertaste of sweet fruits and a little bitter. yespr (48931) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - JUL 19, 2012
From tap at the brewpub. Pours clear and golden brown with a deep orange glare and a small off white head. Aroma is roasted dark malty, caramelish and light sweet. Bitter, roasted malty and light hoppy. Lingering dark malty into the finish.

Keg at Cask Pub and Kitchen, Pimlico, London. An amber coloured pour with a small white head on top. Sweet, fruity aroma. Tastes of raisins and other dark fruits, spice and childrens fruit sweets (tootie fruity) that I used to eat back in the 70’s! Rather strange to be honest. Vaguely Belgian in character but a bit unbalanced. Not really for me, give me more coffee monster. madmitch76 (26440) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUL 8, 2012

CP&K Pizza Port Tap Takeover. Clear red - amber beer, little off white head. Softish palate. Mild fine carbonation. Very mildly tart fruits - cherry and raspberry. Tiny bit of coca cola. Finishes smooth. Easy going.
Draught @ Pizza Port Carlsbad. Dark purple. Raisins, spices, malts, candy, other fruits I can’t identify, bubblegum. Not as flavorful as expected, but richly bodied nonetheless. douglas88 (9797) - Portland, Oregon, USA - APR 2, 2012
On tap at the brewery. Pours a murky dark brown/red color. The aroma is big spices, raisins and sweeter fruits. The flavor is a big dry Dubbel with loads of dark fruit, raisins, caramel, quite flavorful. PhillyCraft (8201) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 27, 2012
On tap at brewery. Pours a dark brown with plum colored hue. Small white head. Aromas are def raisin dominate, candy sugar, rich belgian strong malts. Very soft and tasty for 8.8%. Flavors of raisins, cinnamon, muscat grapes, little sweet at the finish. Taste reminded me of Lost and Found. Warming in upper chest. Very good.
