On tap at PP San Clemente. Pours with very little head and a gold-bronze body. Aroma of pine and light citrus. Taste is bitter, caramel, pine and orange. Light bubbles. Solid IPA. ajm (1072) - Los Angeles, California, USA - MAR 15, 2009
Tap at San Clemente. Quite a dry offering, as Mike Doherty will tell you. Very grainy, almost English hops, alcohol is the balance rather than malt. Lacks the fruit undertones I crave. SDalkoholic (2393) - Linda Vista, California, USA - FEB 7, 2009
On tap @ Tornado’s: Pours sparkling golden ale with firm white head. Nose is a splendid hop aroma full of grapefruit and floral hops. The flavor is plump and bitter with a squeeze of citrus and perfect amount of hops added to make this a west coast style IPA which some of us love.

UPDATED: SEP 9, 2009 (Draught) Pours a clear yellow body with a medium off-white head. Aroma of citrus, pineapple, peaches, grapefruit, biscuit, and pine. Flavor of hops (pine, earthiness) and caramel malt with a bitter finish. kmweaver (3207) - Petaluma, California, USA - NOV 27, 2008
Draft @ Pizza Port - San Clemente. Pours a dense, slightly pulpy orange color; off-white head with great retention and fine-bubbled lacing that coats the glass; great pour. Solid amounts of candy sugar coupled to a dense citrus, grapefruit, and earthy bitterness; solid and clearly expressed. Medium-to-full mouthfeel: dense, chewy oranges, citrus, and earthy bitterness; pitty fruits, orange peel, some dense hop bitterness; very solid, tasty IPA. Lengthy finish: bitter citrus, earthiness, and toasty malts. Nik925 (795) - USA - NOV 20, 2008
The sweetness fades to bitter in the mouth. A lot of bitter! The two tastes never meld together so it never becomes more than a sum of its parts, however, those parts are still excellent. This is a great beer, but when at PIzza Port you have access to so much amazing beer that this tastes ordinary at the time. Theis (15152) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - NOV 19, 2008
