Served on cask at O’Briens back in early August. Opaque yellow-orange color with a bit of whispy white lacing. Spicy hops aroma with bitter grapefruit citrus and a grainy malt undertone. Earthy finish with a character of soil, pine resin and orange peel. I remember it being served too warm, which probably downgraded my experience overall. Pretty decent. On tap at San Clemente location. I had a few of these over a long weekend down there. It’s a good pine flavored IPA, very easy to drink, I would have kept drinking it all day but I tried their double IPA and never looked back! This is a great place to hang and relax, I want to go back. BrotherGrendel (787) - San Diego, California, USA - AUG 23, 2008
On tap at O’Brien’s.
Appearance is a mostly clear dark orange hue, thick head of dense white creamy foam sustains, thick lacing.
Smell is dominated by big pine hops, some grassy/floral hops, sugar and bubblegum.
Taste is mildly bitter hops with light pine flavor, some grapefruit and light citrus, finishes bitter and dry.
Mouthfeel is medium-bodied, creamy smooth texture with some oily resin, moderate carbonation.
Drinkability is high, a solid single IPA that is very smooth and creamy for the style, hops are at a moderate level and not overwhelming, lacking some boldness here but otherwise very good. SCBrew (31) - San Clemente, California, USA - AUG 15, 2008
Growler. Beautiful golden color, fairly clear. Big fruity, piney hop aroma. Medium body with the right amount of carmel sweetness. Huge hop flavor. An absolute Must Try beer. yespr (47581) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - AUG 6, 2008
From tap at San Clemente. Pours clear and golden orange with a lacing white head. Grapefruity and pine needle hops aroma. Flavour is dense hoppy but with a good solid caramel malt base. Dry and bitter into the fnish with a declining hops fruity accent.

Nice golden pour with decent sized white head. Hoppy citrus nose. Flavor is big fresh squeezed orange juice with grassy notes. Good amount of hops that keep the palate working to the end. Ibrew2or3 (8828) - Tempe, Arizona, USA - FEB 2, 2008
UPDATED: MAR 25, 2009 On tap @ the Liar’s Club in Alpine back in early 01/08. Pours a clear deep gold with lasting ring of white foam. The aroma is full with a load of grapefruit juice, some tangelo and orange juice. Just plain old YUMMM. The taste is fruity grapefruit and tangelo juice that dominates the flavor and becomes more and more bitter into the after taste. Midway and to the finish a sweet maltiness rises up and feebly competes(and loses) to the hops. Excellent IPA. hellbilly (3306) - scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA - FEB 1, 2008
tap @ papago. pours a brown shade of gold with an off white head and decent lace work. aroma is candied citrus peel, grass and piney hops. flavor is much the same... hops being the dominant theme. the palate is full of very dry grapefruit skin, pine and grassy hops barely touched with malty sweetness. the finish is grassy and lingers long enough to burp up rosemary. medium body with active carbonation... extra points for being so dry! Tap @ Papago Brewing. Good pine and citrus aroma. Copper body with off white head and good lacing. A dry grapefuit juice flavor. Cold beer that refreshes the palate the on finish a mild dryness lingers. fordest (2469) - Santee/San Diego, California, USA - JAN 4, 2008
Draft at new Liar’s Club in Alpine. Hoppy, fruity aromas. Apricot and grapefruit. Hoppy flavors as well. Grass and floral with grapefruit on the finish. Pretty good.
