Sour&Bitter2012. Clear golden of color with a white head. An aroma of lemon, citrus, fresh, hops and weak malt. A flavor of lemon, hoppy, fresh and malt. wedgie9 (2702) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - FEB 4, 2015
Tasted on 11/12/11 on draft at the Three Floyds Anniversary party. Pours clear dark amber with an average beige head that slowly recedes to a thin even layer of lace. The nose is an intense blend of resin hops and caramelized bread malt. The flavor is the same with the hops showing more tropical fruit. The body is medium and oily with average carbonation and a long resin hops finish. slowrunner77 (11912) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 24, 2014
Nutty and caramel maltiness with a dose of citrus hops in the nose. medium bodied, full flavored red, leaning a little towards the malty side, but still pretty bright."

Tap at the Cask, Pimlico - 14/12/12.
Pours a hazy dark chestnut brown with a thin off white head which escapes to the edge leaving a film.
Nose is pine, hops, grapefuit, light chlorine notes.
Taste follows, caramel malt, sweet candied sugars, orange.
Medium to full in body, soft carbonation - a little over spritzy for my liking.
Decent enough none the less. Mortlach (2335) - Rome, ITALY - OCT 31, 2012
31/10/2012 Brasserie 4:20 (tap). Rossiccia, leggermente torbida, bella schiuma biancastra, abbondante e persistente. Al naso una esplosione di luppoli, malti, sentori di tostato, detersivo per piatti. In bocca malto, caramello, quindi vira sull’amaro spinto, ancora detersivo per piatti, limone, pompelmo. Corpo medio, carbonazione corretta. Confusionaria, ma discreta.

Sample had the FFF Anniversary Party. Served in a plastic sampling cup.
A: Pours a deep purplish red combination with an off white head. Leaves a trail of sticky lace on the way down.
S: Smells of your typical red ale. Candied fruit sweetness, red apples and some nice caramel malts.
T: Bitter hops and unripe apples upfront with some toasted malts cutting the fruity qualities. Ends with a nice grapefruit.
M: Medium to light bodied with a sweet fruit left across the palate.
O: Nice red, but pretty typical. Wasn’t out of this world and slightly forgettable.
Serving type: on-tap

Draft. Pours amber with an off white head. Sweet malty base, floral and earthy hops, with lighter fruity hoppy notes. Decent. thome50 (1294) - Morro Bay via Orange County, California, USA - AUG 12, 2012
Tap. Pours a deep brown to black. Small off white to brown head. Roast is the prominent feature but soon there is a small espresso note in the nose. Taste is malty and dirt like but opens up to some lemon and spicy hops. Cascade like but not exactly. Overall, a lot of pp beers have strong dirt notes. Not bad, just distinct. This is how I like a red. A red for a west coast hop head. Amazing paired with pizza. I could drink it all night.

Tap @ S&B. Deep cherry red color with a massive khaki head. The nose is cherries, strawberry malt. Very bready with heavy brown sugar notes. The taste is bitter hop leaf, some coffee, and roasted malts. Notes of molasses and cherry syrup. Some bitter chocolate. Flabby tasting. Full in body, cumbersomely malty with prickly carbonation. Overall, this one felt like a little less than the sum of its parts. Interesting flavors, but this beer just didn’t do it for me.
