Small shaker showing clear amber.
The nose shows a mix of pine and tropical fruits.
The palate is light bodied and well carbonated. Flavors of pine resin, and tropical fruits on the finish (a lot of guava) brokensail (16696) - Dublin, California, USA - NOV 11, 2013
On tap @ Pizza Port Carlsbad. Golden pour with a white head. Aromas of pineapple, grapefruit, and orange rind. Light caramel sweetness, bread, and peach. Nice sweetness of citrus and fruits to the flavor. Some caramel/malt sweetness as well. Mild bitterness of orange and grapefruit rinds. Some pineapple, peach, and a touch of pine. Not bad at all. Pours a crystal clear golden color with white head continuously being fed by the carbonation bubbles migrating from the bottom. Light, lemony notes on the bouquet. Soft, cottony mouthfeel. Lemon and pine flavors. Just a hint of sweet that emerges from the citric bitterness. JohnnyJ (5573) - San Diego, California, USA - OCT 30, 2012
Draft at PP Carlsbad. Clear golden amber pour, white head. Dank hops, pine, bitterness, sweet malts, caramel, and light tropical fruit. The beer feels fairly heavy. I wish it was dryer, still decent.

Tap at OB PP. This year’s is 7.5 % ABV. Clear amber with a creamy small off-white head, lasting film. Dunno the hops, but seems Chinook-y to me. Spicy, pine, maybe light herbal wood. Not a very strong aroma, even as it warmed. Flavor of spicy pine hops, some dry hops. Not really very citrusy. Dry finish, light toasty malts and bitterness around a 5. Low carbonation with a medium body. Not bad, but not exciting for the realm of IPAs. 6-4-7-4-13--3.4 badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - DEC 31, 2011
Clear dark yellow with a creamy white head. Big skunky pine aroma. Tastes of pine grass hay and citrus. Not bad but not great. Thorpe429 (5122) - , Illinois, USA - APR 13, 2011
Pizza Port Ocean Beach Edition. On tap at The Brickskeller during its "Whet" Hop Ales event with Tomme Arthur.
Poured a pale yellow color with a bit of an orange tint. Transparent without too much visible carbonation. The nose bring some light citrus and was quite dank. The taste really brought a lot of pine and resin, plus what I’ll refer to as some "green heat" from the fresh hops. Feel was really bitter, excessively so. It gave Amyliz4 heartburn it was so bitter. Fantastic finish and superior drinkability.

On tap at Brickskeller DC. Pours a bright yellow, gold with a frothy white head. Big floral, perfumey nose, pine, orange, honey, lemons. Flavor is really juicy, oranges, peaches, resinous hops, earthy, pine with some sweetness too. Medium bodied lightly bitter, otherwise smooth finish. Super juicy. Well balanced while being super fresh. Really drinkable. I wish this was my local pub. gsmitty80 (2130) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 27, 2010
On tap at the Ocean Beach location. Pours clear yellow with little head but nice lacing. The aroma is of strong hops. The taste follows through with a bitter taste but very pleasing. Taste doesnt linger on the palate too long. Fantastic beer for 900. I have been waiting a lpng time to try their craft beers and it did not disapoint.
