S: Lots of nutty aromas along with plenty of cocoa, roasted malt, and dark chocolate. Toffee and caramel provide the bulk of the sweetness and there is a nice toasted malt character as well.
T: The flavor profile is pretty much the same as the smell. A nice sweetness of toffee and caramel, as well as milk chocolate. A touch of bitter dark chocolate, roasted malt, and the usual nuttiness.
M: Medium in body with a moderate carbonation to it.
D: A really solid brown ale. A nice, but not overwhelming, sweetness to it.
A reddish brown ale with a thick brown head. In aroma, a nice nutty malt with roasted coffee beans, quite nice. In mouth, a nice roasted malt with light ashen notes, coffee, nice and balanced. On tap at Big Dog Winterfest, Jan. 29 2011.

On draught at Maui Brewing Company in Lahaina, HI. The beer is a dark brown color with a medium tan head that diminishes to an outer ring eventually. Rings of lacing on the glass. Malty aroma with some dark fruit and coffee notes. Medium body with a rich malty character and flavors of roasted coffee, bittersweet chocolate and raisins. Carlsbad: Dark, dark brown color with a small tan head. Aroma is lightly nutty and chocolate. Flavor is lightly sweet with some coffee, a hint of chocloate and a light dry coffee bitter finish.
Light body, moderate carbonation.
