Served on tap at the 2009 Pizza Port Strong Ale Festival. The apperance is a creamy black with a burnt brown head. The nose is full of bourbon and vanilla. The flavors continue the bourbon dominance with nice additions of chocolate and vanilla.. The mouth feel is really smooth and full. A touch boozy but very nice beer. tokyogoat (1503) - San Diego, California, USA - SEP 5, 2010
With all of the decorations to the display name stating how much a taster costs, how there are no samples, no growlers, no pitchers, I assumed it was going to be epic. it was ok. little chocolate, pretty sweet and raisin laced. mediocre. peteinSD (1468) - San Diego, California, USA - OCT 20, 2010
Filthy black roasted coffee head. Aroma is dry chocolate, roasted malt, and very subtle raisin or dried dark fruit. Flavor is straightforward roasty malt, chocolate, some balanced hop bitterness toward the finish, and some tang from the 10 percent. Flavor profile is tighter than Nightrider. Well done. nqualls (1452) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - JUN 15, 2009

Source: Tap at DLD.
Appearance: Black pour with a one finger, lasting beige head.
Aroma: Chocolate and vanilla, roasted malt and some dark fruit as it warms.
Flavor: Sweet malt with roast, chocolate and vanilla backing it up. Spices present also.
Palate: Full body with soft carbonation.
Overall: Pretty decent imperial stout. Wish this were closer or more widely available.
This beer is the bomb. Pours black with a thin brown hed that leaves some lace. Smells.dark and roasty with some sweetness and dark bitter chocolate. Tastes dark and sweet roasty, chocolate sweetness. A hint of dishwater but too many other flavors going on to care. Thivk, full body, good carbonation.
