Tap at Solana Beach location. Oh yes, hoppy smoked stout. Powerful sheets of complete tan lace above a clear mahogany to blood ruby pour. Nose is sweet with mild olives moving to muted, excellent smoked malt. Taste is resinous, bitter, with excellently integrated meaty bacon smoke character. Delicious.

On tap @ PP Solana Beach. Black pour with a frothy tan head which leaves sheets of lacing down the sides of the glass. Aroma is chocolate, roast, coffee, supporting hop bitterness, and a soft, dry malt backbone. Taste is bitter chocolate/coffee with roast, perhaps some oat, pine, and a bit of alcohol heat. Even and creamy mouthfeel with a precise flavor profile. Very well done imperial stout with a sharp hop bitterness and chocolate roast character.
