[ Courtesy of Nightfall ]. Gusher !! Muddy matt medium brown amber colour with a large, frothy, fair lacing, fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is light heavy malty, tart, berry, wood, leather - barnyard funky. Flavour is light heavy sweet and moderate acidic with a long long duration, tart, berry - fruity, grape - red wine, apples. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft and fizzy.
Magnum bottle, courtesy of cquiroga. Gusher. Pours hazy dark brown with a small white head. Smooth fruity and light caramelish aroma. Light acetone and dry malty flavoured. Smooth cherry like note. Bitter and dry. Nice mix between roasted malt and wooden barrel fruity notes. oh6gdx (26488) - Vasa, FINLAND - JUL 4, 2007
Bottled. Amber colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is brutally sour, fruity, woody and leafy. Flavour is very much the same in an excellent balance. Very complex, sour and lovely. omhper (25139) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - JUL 2, 2007
Bottled, thanks cquiroga! Pale brownish amber, no head. Acidic lighly oaky strawberry aroma. Dryish with soft malt and gently sparkling mouthfeel. Complex flavour of wild strawberries, vinegar, oak and blueberries. Vinous with near Cantillon-like acidity. An ultra superb beer that left me speechless. 750 ml bottle at the DC local tasting, courtesy of Brad, hooked up by Chris. Murky light brown color, tan head. Aroma of prune, plum, sour summer fruits. Taste has sour cherry, vanilla. Good stuff, probably best of the night.

Hazy brown color, small off-white head. Sour, earthy aroma. Sourish .. cherry flavor is dominating. Smooth carbonation. Very stylish, balanced Rodenbach-like sour ale.
Bottle at Astoria share. Pours muddy amber white head. Nose/taste of french oak, cherry, funky earth, sour caramel and light vinegar tartness. Medium body. Well balanced. brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - FEB 3, 2011
A: The bottle is excessively carbonated which required some bleeding and of the pressure by loosening the cap slowly. But eventually, we have a pour that is a brownish/amber color with a large off-white head.
S: Immediately you get the sour cherry aromas along with plenty of oak. There is a nice sweet malt character underneath, very reminiscent of an Oud Bruin/Flanders Red. Quite musty with a lot of wine, too.
T: Plenty of sour cherry and cherry pie flavor going on here. There’s a lot of tartness as well, partially from a vinegar component. Not as much sweetness as on the nose and a bit more toward the dry side.
M: The body is medium with a very high/lively carbonation.
D: One of the better American sour beers I’ve ever had and it has held up amazingly well over the last several years. Dedollewaitor (16170) - Odense, DENMARK - NOV 6, 2011
10cl sample. Thanks to Fonefan. Pours red amber with bubbles on top. Nose is tart and fruity with a layer of caramel beneath. Berries, brett and a hint of acetone. Spice? Flavor has notes of red wine and barnyard. Very dry and vaguely warming. Nice.
