The beer pours a mahogany color with a small khaki colored head. Rather nutty with plenty of toffee and a mild cocoa note. Might even be a touch of coffee. Lots of toasted malts, too. Strong nut and toffee flavors. This beer is really driven by the sweet malt character. A little bit of toast and some mild cocoa. On tap at brewpub. Pours brown with am off white head. Aroma of roasted malt, nuts and coffee with some caramel and fruitiness. Tap at Pizza Port San Clemente. Pours a clear, true red with medium beige foam. Excellent, complete, sheety lace. Muted malty, toasty nose. Taste is thinner, decently malty, dry cocoa finish with robust roasted character. Very clean, easily sessionable.

Dark mahogany reddish brown with a creamy, nougat coloured head. The aroma holds chocolate roast, nuts, dark bread, caramel,almond smelling glue, sweet liquorice, blueberry/blackberry candy and light earthy hops. The flavour is light sweet, light bitter and tiny acidic with notes of mild roast, nuts, soft caramel, dark bread, light fruits, touch of yeast and a whisper of hops. The mouthfeel is watery and light crisp with a medium carbonation. Earthy malt and light berry-like finish. Light bodied.
