Tap. Darkest brown color with beige head. Aroma is earthy, coffee. Taste is earthy, liquorice. Oily mouthfeel. Medium carbonation. Not for me.

Black pour, tan head. Chocolate, very roasty, lots of roasted malt, and some burnt coffee and bitter hops. Decent, but certainly not great.

On tap at Mikkeller bar. Black with almost no head. Chocolate and marcipan in the nose, in the mouth also good acidity and dry roastiness. Delightful.

_angst_ (5009) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAY 15, 2012
Draught @ Mikkeller Bar. Pours pitch black with a small creamy brown head that quickly dissipates while leaving a small trace on the glass. Smell is sweet and malty with dark sweet bread, roasted malts, coffee, molasses, pine and orange peal. Taste is sweet and malty with roasted malts, coffee, pine, liquorice, orange peal, pumpernickel and wood. Mouthfeel is slightly dry, tiny tart and medium to full bodied. Finish is tiny sweet and bitter with roasted malts, coffee and pine.

Draft. Dark brown in color with a one-finger well-formed tan head on top. Roasty and chocolaty aroma with a substantial coffee note. Smells great. The flavor is mildly sweet with a base of milk chocolate and roast and considerable hop bitterness. Medium-full bodied with somewhat soft carbonation. A pretty solid imperial stout overall.

Palme (4857) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUN 25, 2012
On tap @ Mikkeller bar. A near black one with a small lacing and sidesticking tah head. Aroma is filled with sweet-ish chocolate, coffee, roasted malts, leather and licorice. Light hints of tobacco also. Flavors are packed with chocolate paper. If you ever wonder how chocolate paper taste like, this is damn near the blueprint. Really coffee-strong also, not the dark concentrated - more like normal filtered coffee. It’s average carbonated and has a light oily texture. Enjoyable indeed. 13.05.2012

VsXsV (4572) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUL 19, 2012
Draught at the brewpub. Opaque, black liquid with medium off-white/tan head. Aroma of coffee, ash, fruity hops, biscuit and cereal. Taste is dry and light to medium bitter with notes of coffee, ash and fruity hops. Full bodied with medium carbonation. Quite hoppy for an impy, but still nice.

3.4
Vighals (4548) - Sørumsand, NORWAY - SEP 27, 2017
UPDATED: SEP 27, 2017 Mørk mørk brun med lavt beige skum. Lukter kald kaffe og noe nøtter. Lett kaffebitter smak. Middels lang. (Beavex17)
