Served from a growler from Port OB. The appearance is a rich golden brown with a big creamy white head. Wonderful aromas of fresh hops, loads of orange, orange rind, some stone fruits too. The aromas just ooze out of this elixir. The flavors follow with the refreshing orange, bitter zest, nice mild malt base. Mouth is pretty full, just the right amount of bittering. Great fresh hop IPA, maybe the best beer yet out of this great brewing crew. BMan1113VR (7930) - Los Angeles, California, USA - OCT 26, 2010
On tap at Pizza Port San Clemente’s Hoptoberfest. I loved this beer (as did a lot of people I spoke to, but a few didn’t and I can see why). Pours with a clear golden body with a white head. Strongly catty (cat urine) aroma, with big notes of mango, papaya, really floral hops and light crystal. Flavor has absolutely no catty notes. Hugely floral with tropical fruit. Insanely fruit, very floral. Lively bubbles. Very delicious! DocJitsu (2015) - Pensacola, Florida, USA - MAR 30, 2013
Pours a crystal clear golden color with white head continuously being fed by the carbonation bubbles migrating from the bottom. Light, lemony notes on the bouquet. Soft, cottony mouthfeel. Lemon and pine flavors. Just a hint of sweet that emerges from the citric bitterness. doubleo (1432) - San Diego, California, USA - OCT 13, 2010
Pours hazy yellow with a edium sized white head that leaves good lace. Smells subdued hoppy, pretty green and dank. Tastes good. Lots of citrus and hops and bitterness. Nice green and earthy hop flavors with the citrus. Medium body, good carbonation. nimbleprop (8597) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - NOV 1, 2010
On tap at Brickskeller DC. Pours a bright yellow, gold with a frothy white head. Big floral, perfumey nose, pine, orange, honey, lemons. Flavor is really juicy, oranges, peaches, resinous hops, earthy, pine with some sweetness too. Medium bodied lightly bitter, otherwise smooth finish. Super juicy. Well balanced while being super fresh. Really drinkable. I wish this was my local pub.

Pizza Port Ocean Beach Edition. On tap at The Brickskeller during its "Whet" Hop Ales event with Tomme Arthur.
Poured a pale yellow color with a bit of an orange tint. Transparent without too much visible carbonation. The nose bring some light citrus and was quite dank. The taste really brought a lot of pine and resin, plus what I’ll refer to as some "green heat" from the fresh hops. Feel was really bitter, excessively so. It gave Amyliz4 heartburn it was so bitter. Fantastic finish and superior drinkability.

On tap @ Pizza Port Carlsbad. Golden pour with a white head. Aromas of pineapple, grapefruit, and orange rind. Light caramel sweetness, bread, and peach. Nice sweetness of citrus and fruits to the flavor. Some caramel/malt sweetness as well. Mild bitterness of orange and grapefruit rinds. Some pineapple, peach, and a touch of pine. Not bad at all. (En fût à la brasserie): Forte résine verte et un sucre aussi fort, harmonieux dans l’agressivité. tokyogoat (1503) - San Diego, California, USA - OCT 13, 2010
Pours a golden and vivid yellow color, nose is loaded with hop character, taste was almost too bitter, hits on the sides of the tongue and causes a lot of salivation. Hop flavors were hard to pick out due to the high bitterness, good citrus and pine qualities, but definitely second fiddle to the bitterness. Sledutah (7761) - Utah, USA - OCT 14, 2010
