Pour black with a one finger tan head with nice lacing. Aroma is of roasted malts, coffee, molasses, sweet malts, caramel, coco, and some earthy hops. Taste is pretty similar to the aroma. Has a medium body with a semi-creamy mouthfeel and a slightly bitter, semi dry, medium-long finish. Overall, a pretty nice dry stout that is drinkable and looks nice. bergstaden (3096) - Røros, NORWAY - APR 23, 2015

Tap at Urge Gastropub. Pours opaque black with a medium, creamy brown head, long retention with excellent lacing. Aroma is roast and coffee malt with leather notes, light earthy hops. Flavor is lightly tart and bitter dark malt, light hops and medium bitterness with a dry finish. Light body and medium carbonation. Keg at PP Ocean Beach, 19/04/14.
Light black with a good sized tan covering that retains well, good full glass lacing ensues.
Nose is light roast, toffee, earthy cocoa, light metallics.
Taste comprises much the same, nothing else to say, less metallic though.
Medium bodied, soft to fine carbonation, light drying close.
Ok dry stout, flavours are pretty basic but the look and feel of this one score well. GT (10001) - San Diego, California, USA - FEB 27, 2014

>> Deep black ruby, okay foam. Nose is roast, ash, lemon. Taste is apple, ash, water, bitter, no sugar at all. Weak palate. Very thin, not much dry stout creaminess or nitro mouthfeel. Just meh.
<!> weak palate, little creaminess
On nitro at Toronado. Licorice flavour, OK stout, likely improved mouthfeel from the nitro. DiarmaidBHK (5339) - Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 12, 2013
Draft at Pizza Port Ocean Beach. Pours black with a half inch of khaki head. There’s some solid roasted barley on the nose. Fairly dry and roasty on the tongue. Finishes clean. A nice amount of flavor for the ABV. iowaherkeye (2703) - Ocean Beach, San Diego, California, USA - MAY 14, 2012
Nitro at OB. Black, ruby edges, light beige nitro head. Nose is bakers chocolate and clean roast--not burnt at all--light toasted grain. Flavor is mainly toasty and roasty, does turn a bit burnt by the bone dry finish. No sweetness, bitterness peaked at a 3ish. Scant carbonation with a light to medium body. My least favorite stout from them, but not bad at all. BMan1113VR (7931) - Los Angeles, California, USA - DEC 21, 2011
On tap at the source. Pours with what appears to be nitro. Creamy tan head, very deep brown body. Aromas are roasty, dry, bitter, chocolate and light leather. Flavors are very smooth, clean, creamy, oatmeal, dry chocolate. Very creamy carbonation, light bodied. Pleasant. SamGamgee (2452) - down the whirlpool, California, USA - JUN 26, 2011
My first beer from PPOB and a very good first impression, not that I ever doubted PP would open another less-than-stellar brewery. Very well balanced and smooth dark coffee and chocolate malt flavor with a light and creamy body and dry finish. Tons of great malt character here, in a ridiculously drinkable package. This is a style that a lot of brewpubs don’t do very well on and end up putting out thin, bland Guinness clones. This crushes Guinness like no one’s business.
