On tap at the Port in Carlsbad. Listed as Old Moby Scotch Ale. Mahogany center with lighter maroon edges. Bubbly beige rings around the glass. Aroma is mostly plum, raisin and sweet caramel. On tap at Hamiltons. Pours with a deep brownish-red body topped by a thin, off-white head with little lacing. It has a slightly sweet and floral hop aroma with a touch of malt in the background. The flavor is slightly sweet yet slightly sour and bitter with an underlying over ripe fruit note and a slight floral note. Medium to full bodied and warming. On tap @ Port Solana. Dark brown pour with a beige head. Nose had hints of molasses, dark fruits and booze. Flavor was much of the same. A good barley wine but, not the best.

Tap @ 2007 Strong Ale Fest. Poured a red color with a huge beige head. The aroma was dry and malty with mild dark fruits. The flavor was sweet and malty with a hoppy finish. Some fruits. Semi-dry finish and a medium body.
