Pours a pale yellow with a one finger white head with nice lacing. Aroma is of citrus, pine, fruits, bready malts, and light rye. Taste is about the same as the aroma. Has a medium body with a creamy mouthfeel with a semi dry, semi bitter, medium finish. On tap @ Pizza Port Bressi Ranch. Golden colored pour with a white head. Smells of bread dough, pineapple, and mango. Lots of citrus zest. Slight lemon character. There’s a nice bitterness to the flavor. A little bit sweeter than expected...particularly bread dough and mango. Some sticky rice, pineapple, and baked pear. Not bad. >> Pours clear light straw with mega, large, super rocky white foam. Big sheets of lace. Nose is marzipan, soft yellow fruit, fresh dough, poundcake. Taste isn’t too bitter and it is quite light bodied, some yellow apple and tannic apple skin, white dough. None of this super heavy, amber, malty, spicy rye stuff I was expecting. This feels a bit like Ponto with the zero specialty malts. Palate is just a tad dusty, chalky. Still, refreshing and poundable. Very good. Hope this one comes back around though I don’t see a need for this, Ponto, and Swami’s on tap all at once.
