GABF 2005: Brown hue with an okay head. The aroma has notes of walnut, caramel, light grassy and piney hops, coffee. The taste is quite honestly standard stuff, nutty and some apple notes on top of caramel and bready malts finishing with hoppy bitterness. Clearish deep brown hue mounted by a light brown head. Rather straightforward coffee/chocolate roasted malts nose. Heavily malty, heavily hoppy(dead leaves, flowers), but not necessarily the tastiest components which makes me think that from anyone else, this would be considered a middle of the pack porter. GABF 2005. Translucent dark brown body with a few visible particles and a filmy tan head. Aroma of good coffee, cocoa nibs and a touch of raisin. Bitter coffee flavor with significant hops and firm bitterness. Nice blend of characters. Distinct and good porter.

on draft: dark brown, nice malty/roasty nose. Flavor is roasted chocolate. Smooth & easy drinking.
