Tap @ Pizza Port Carlsbad... Poured hazy golden orange with a white-ish head. This was husky with a decent malt presence. Hops were resinous, earthy, and spicy. Reminded me more of a NW IPA rather than a West Coast IPA. Tap at Pizza Port San Clemente. Pours a hazy amber with 1/2" white head. Aroma is grassy, hop forward. Some pine and resin in there. Taste is a more subdued IPA for PP but really nice and refreshing. Citrus, some pine cleaning product smell/taste. Still an earthy bit to this one that I get from a lot of PP San Clemente IPAs. Draft at San Clemente. Pours light orange with thin head. Minimal hop aroma and taste. Boring for PP IPA. Was expecting so much more. Disappointing.
