On tap at Pizza Port Ocean Beach, pours a dark copper with a small white head. Aroma of resinous hops upfront, balanced by dry caramely biscuity malt. Flavour brings out soapy, floral hops, and dry biscuity malt. Very smooth, floral and soapy. Excellent depth to this - wonderful. yngwie (17038) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 13, 2013
On tap at the brewpub. A clear, dark golden beer with a small white head. Curtains. Pleasant pine cone aroma with a hint of malts and orange. Very bitter on the palate, full bodied and quite dry. Pine cones, some pale malts and orange peel in the flavor. Lasting finish. Sure a nice ipa, maybe a bit bitter to drink a lot of though. 130813 brokensail (16432) - Dublin, California, USA - SEP 25, 2011
A: This beer is amber in color with about a finger of white head.
S: A nice sweet citrus aroma up front with plenty of pineapple and other tropical fruits. There is just a bit of caramel along with some bread. Strong pine notes on the back end.
T: Somewhat surprisingly, there is sweet toffee up front. But, that is quickly replaced by tropical fruits and pungent grapefruit (and other citrus notes). Overall, sweet fruits are prevalent and there is a mild pine bitterness.
M: Medium in both body and carbonation.
O: Very easy to put down a couple glasses of this stuff. One of Pizza Port SC’s better beers.

UPDATED: SEP 28, 2010 Sample at the brewpub. The beer pours a clear orange color with a medium creamy white head that dissipates slowly. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Citrusy hops and malt in the nose. Medium body with flavors of floral hops, citrus and malt. The finish is hoppy with a lingering citrus aftertaste. Pretty solid IPA all around. Pours clear deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, grass, citrus, orange and pine. Taste is medium sweet and medium to heavy bitter with a long caramel, citrus fruity, pine and grassy finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Gold pour, creamy white head. Hoppy goodness, biscuits, light honey notes. Flavor is loaded with tropical fruits, prefect bitterness, citrus. Damn wow. GT (10000) - San Diego, California, USA - AUG 8, 2013
Tap at Pizza Port SC. Clear, bright gold pour with smaller but rocky foam. Big lacing. Nose is bright starfruit, mild butterscotch, sharp orange peel. Taste is actually fairly malty, not sticky at all, but there is some Irish oatmeal and pale grist character before a smack of fruity hops and long grapefruit finish. Palate isn’t as silky, butterscotch as I like but more soapy, rindy white grapefruit. Nice.
