Keg at PP Solana Beach, 14/11/14. Reddish amber with a moderately appointed light beige covering. Nose is sweet caramel, perfume, candied fruit peel, hoppy notes. Taste comprises toasted brown sugar, light tropical fruits, sweet licks, pine, sticky candy. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Doesnt deliver much for the ABV, too sweet, needs more bitterness.

Sample at the brewpub. Pours a slightly hazy reddish-amber color with a thin foamy off-white head that dissipates quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of malt, pine and hops. Medium to full body with a resiny hops character and notes of earthy malt and ripe fruit. The finish is malty up front with a floral hops aftertaste. Above average overall.

Tap at PPSC. Pours a clear red, amber. Medium tan foam. Fresh, bright, sticky nutty hops. Good lace. Rich butterscotch, fresh orange juice, powerful walnut and marzipan in the aroma. Mild fumey alcohol.. Taste is similar to a Sierra Nevada Red IPA with mega pine needle, hop resin. Much more aggressive than expected. Really nice.
