Draft 12/05: Fairly clear amber color with with a light red hue and off-white head. Earthy and floral aroma with some citrus notes. Citrus and piney flavor starts mild but grows as the flavor develops. Goes through the malt to the finish.

Draft, Dec 05. Copper clear pour.Kinda viney citrus hop aroma, fairly fresh hops at that. Moderate caramel malt flavors, with lots more of that citrus piney hop hops, and a moderate bitter finish.

Draft - While classified as an IPA here (and it has the hops to justify it), this brew ran into a red ale too. It’s a nice combination, giving the caramel malt flavor of a red combined with the intense hops of an IPA. Goose Island has a strong ale that IMO pulled off the combination a little better, but this is a fine effort. Very drinkable.

Draft. Reddish-amber beer with a very thin off-white head. Citrus hop aroma with some caramel malt. Citrus hop flavor with caramel malt and a bit of resin. Hops win out, but there’s some nice balance.

Cask. Orange-red brown, fairly hazy. Large light brown head. Caramel, toffee, grassy hop aromatics. Light ruddy maltiness underneath fresh grassy, vegetal hop pantina. Slightly bitter finish. Mouthfeel is very smooth.

Had last night on draft at pizza port san clemente. Very resiny hoppy nose, pine, dank notes. Pour is deep red. Taste is not unlike an imperial red, some malt character but hops dominate. I really enjoyed the fresh, moist taste of the hops. Quite good.

BuckNaked (1230) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - DEC 4, 2005
Draught at RFD’s 11/7/05: Darkest beer of the wet-hop tasting with an amber-red body and dark beige, near-tan head. Aroma is fruity and floral hops, showing some nice yeast aromas, and I’ve also written "centennial/chinook/cascade" in my notes, though I’m sure I’m probably way off. Taste is that PP house yeast character-almost like sea salt &fruit, green spinach, melon, leafy hops, very green and fresh grassy hops are most clearly evident here. Medium bodied, light carbonation.

Steib (613) - Queen Creek, Arizona, USA - NOV 13, 2005
Dark to medium reddish color. Very flowery in the nose. Big,sweet and citrusry also. Alot of melon in the flavor, big on the grapefruit also. Very smooth and flavorfull, quenches just enough of your thirst then begs for more. Dry and bitter to the end. A great IPA.

argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - NOV 8, 2005
Crystal clear copper body with beige head. Aroma is medium sweet,. grapefruit, berry. Taste is medium sweet, grapefruit, cantalope. Medium body, some resin.
