From tap at Carlsbad. Pours clear and golden deep amber with a small tan head. Aroma is dark roasted and malty. Sweet fruity and roasted toffee malty flavoured. Mild fruity and dark caramelish base flavoured into the finish with a smooth fruity accent. Nice.

The beer pours a dark amber color with a thin khaki head. Sweet malt, particularly toffee, on the nose with a nice bread and molasses aroma. A touch of peat and quite a bit of dark fruit. Mild alcohol on the flavor with lots of rich malt flavor in the form of toffee, molasses, and toasted bread. Good fruit notes, mild peatiness, perhaps just a hint of cocoa.

Medium bodied, gritty texture, lively carbonation, and a chalky finish. Medium bodied, moderate sweetness, light acidity and bitterness.

Tap at PPC. Clear deep reddish amber with minimum beige foam. Nose is cheap cherry coke, vanilla, brown sugar. Taste is very sweet, oily, rich, dense. Palate is thick, rich, maple syrupy. On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark red//brown color with a small grey head. The aroma is massive rich fruit and dusty tomes. A nice flavor of rich caramel, heavy sweet candied fruits, very dry. Enjoyable. Very big.
