From tap. Pours hazy orange with a huge and rocky white head. Aroma is peachy and nice citrusy. Peachy hoppy flavoured. Bitter and citrusy. Citrusy and peachy dry finish. Nice fruity finish.

Draft. A hazy amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of citrusy hops, caramel, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of citrusy hops, malt, and caramel, leading to a dry and bitter finish.

A: The pour is a surprisingly cloudy copper color with a thin layer of off-white head. S: A lackluster nose is obvious right off the bat. Very minimal hop aroma to the beer and what is there is sort of sweet with a little bit of orange peel, grass, and floral notes. Overall, though, this is mostly bread. T: Second verse, same as the first. Bready malts with a decent enough bitterness, but no real hop flavor. Again, some citrus peel and maybe a touch of grapefruit and pine. M: The body is medium with a fairly lively carbonation to it. D: A true disappointment, especially for a Pizza Port IPA. I can’t recommend this one.

On draught at the brewpub. The beer is a clear orange-gold color with a medium white head that diminishes gradually to an outer ring. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, hops and malt. Light to medium body with a moderately bitter citrusy hops character with notes of toasted malt and caramel in the background. The finish is hoppy with a lingering citrus aftertaste. Decent overall.

Light gold pour. Spicy, earthy hops, citrus. Flavor is nice and bitter, juicy citrus, just enough malt bill. Hell yeah.

Tap at Pizza Port SC. Poured a clear orange/gold with a thin, off-white head, that has little retention but good sheety to webby lacing. Nose is really non-existant for wet hop IPA- some English malt and slight harsh graininess. Body is malty, chewy, loaded with bitter orange peel but not sweet enough or caramel loaded to be an IPA- really exactly what the description is: strong pale ale. Profile is a little thin with soft bitterness and a fairly dry palate. Lots of English malts (almost astringent) rather than full caramel malts.
