amber pour w/ a dense off white head nice lacing. Weak aroma pretty grainy. Well coated palate lightly creamy. Flavor reminds me of a malty wheat beer. Ok but pretty dull. hophead75 (2012) - Largo, Florida, USA - OCT 1, 2006
GABF 06. Malts and hops in the aroma, malty and medium bodied with a good hop presence. nice beer. patrick767 (4063) - fort wayne, Indiana, USA - SEP 17, 2006
tap at Solona - It looks alright, but I thought it smelled like almost nothing. There was just a little malt. I didn’t really notice the rye. The beer was moderately bitter with well balanced flavor, medium bodied, and pretty easy to drink. It didn’t do much for me though. bager (2120) - Copenhagen N, DENMARK - SEP 10, 2006
On tap at Solana Beach (thanks fordest). Amber coloured with a small head. Wellbalanced sweetness and bitterness. notes of rye, hops, pine and maybe a weak hint of caramel. papajohn (1250) - San Diego (Mira Mesa), California, USA - AUG 19, 2006

pub: Orange amber color with a small (bar pour) offwhite head. Aroma is sweet and fruity. Flavor starts with toast and caramel followed by a light citrus bitterness. Medium bodied and smooth with moderate carbonation. Not sure I’d call it an IPA.
Pours with an amber body topped by a medium thick head with a good amount of lacing. It’s well-balanced leaning more towards the bitter side with a slight underlying sweetness, as well as, notes of rye and pine. Medium bodied, slightly dry and smooth. fordest (2470) - Santee/San Diego, California, USA - AUG 9, 2006
Draft at Solana Beach. Medium golden with not much head. Aromas were hoppy with some toast. Flavors were citrus hops and some caramelly malts. Not too bad.
