Sweet aroma, with strong oatmeal (surprising to smell) and roastiness. Pitch black in color with a tan head. A sweeter stout with a nice roast finish; quite smotth...as suggested.

Tap at Pizza Port San Clemente. Clear, deep cola pour. No lace really. Dark cherries and cola in the nose. Taste is richer macadamia nut and coconut oil with a slicker mouthfeel. Big silky oat character to the point of almost diacetyl but there is none in the nose. Very yummy, oily stout. 5.5% is hilarious. Not as clean as the Pier Rat Porter. waolsen (1376) - Littleton, Colorado, USA - JAN 10, 2012
