On tap at PP San Clemente. It pours dark brown with a tan head. The aroma is roasted coffee, mealy oats, and grains. The flavor is roasted and a bit cola like with some density on the palate, but without much substance. On tap at The Monk. Pour is black with a small cream head. Lots of roasted notes on the nose with some additions of light chocolate and coffee. Black color, creamy head. Light aroma of roasted malt, paper, yeast. Smooth mouthfeel; chocolate flavor, dry; the bitterness derives from the roasted malts, it’s low. Simple.
A: The pour is very dark brown, almost black, with a cream mocha colored head.
S: Lots of coffee and roast on the nose, with a nice bitter, dark chocolate. A touch of caramel sweetness as well as minimal earthy hop aromas. Not too many different things going on, but it smells good.
T: Bitter dark chocolate along with an intense roasted malt flavor give this beer a pretty substantial level of bitterness. Sweet oatmeal and toffee. A moderate coffee flavor is present as well.
M: The body is medium, not quite as silky as many oatmeal stouts, though, with a moderate carbonation.

Re-rate: Pours with a cola hued body with a huge, creamy tan head. Aromas of cola, brown sugar, chocolate, esters, grainy, cereal and oatmeal. Flavors of coffee, bitter cocoa, roasted notes. Cereal. A bit dry. Medium to lively bubbles with a full body.

On tap for a beer club party I had. I didn’t rate at the time, but I drank significant amounts of this, which resulted in a bad hangover and then I had to take a plane overseas. Perhaps because of that I don’t like what Ernst’s evil spell has done to me, but the beer itself is nothing short of great. Silky smooth body with lots of coffee, chocolate malt note with hints of oatmeal. It was so smooth tasting that when the beer was initially served too cold, I thought it would make a great breakfast beer. Lingering chocolately finish. Great stuff. On tap. RBESG Rome 2010. Pours an opaque black with a beige head. Sweetish hard roasted malt in the nose - plenty of vanilla as well. Medium body, lots of sweet chocolate malts a and vanilla. Clear dark black color with a large to huge, creamy, excellent lacing, fully lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, coffee, oat. Flavor is heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, chocolate sweet. Body is medium, texture is oily and smooth, carbonation is soft. 
On tap at 4:20. Black body with a creamy tan head. Berries, ripe fruit, light chocolate and some roasted malt in aroma. The flavour is dark fruity with notes of chocolate and light roasted malt.
