From tap at 4:20. Pours dark brown to black with a rocky, off-white and tan head. Aroma is dark roasted oatmeal. Mild fruity, vague citrusy and slight phenolic. Sweet and fruity mixed with a distinct roasted malt flavour. MartinT (9880) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 13, 2010
My Bottom Line:Dedollewaitor (16158) - Odense, DENMARK - JUN 9, 2010
Coffee and caramel slowly churn out a cushy flavour profile for this highly drinkable and approachable Oatmeal Stout.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam floats atop the dark brown blackness.
-Pumpernickel bread angles are found next to light fruit esters.
-This was not served on nitro, but the mouthfeel was very soft nonetheless.
-I would have appreciated a bit more refinement and clarity in the malts’ flavours.
On tap at the brewpub.
