4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
(En fût à O’Brien’s): Des agrumes sucrées dans une structure moelleuse bonbon qui se dissipe rapidement pour libérer une verdure réconfortante. Excellent.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Keg at PP Ocean Beach, 13/11/14.
Clear golden with moderate off white edgeing.
Nose is light fart, citric peel, bitter orange, straw, pale malt, toasted bread.
Taste comprises floral notes, bitter orange, citric pith, tangerine, melon.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with sweet tones and some hop bitterness present.
Low end DIPA, just doesn’t have any oomph.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sample at the brewpub. Pours a clear orange-gold color with a medium foamy white head that recedes gradually. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, tropical fruit and malt. Medium to full body with flavors of citrusy hops, grainy malt and pine. The finish is moderately bitter with a pineapple and hops aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap at PPSC. Fresh/wet hop DIPA up in here with Citra hops this year I think. Full haze, murky peach juice pour. Great lace. Nose is fresh peach, juicy starfruit, honeydew, mango. Taste has some white grape juice, white grapefruit, honeydew rind, mild sugar balance. Softer bitterness. Soft, sweet body with long, bitter peel balance. Long, extreme juicy grapefruit finish.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma of peach, pineapple, apricot, and grassy hops. Palate was pretty much the same as the nose detected. For 9%, Alcohol was almost non existent. Another great beer from pizza port. Tried to get a growler fill @ San clemente pizza port but they were not filling due to the limited quantity available, so settled for middle man ipa.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap. Pours with a clear, slightly deep golden hued body with a lasting white head. Aromas are grassy, grainy, mango, caramel, alcohol and lightly estery. Flavors are grainy, alcohol, mango, wet grass, a touch peppery. Too sweet for my tastes/expectations from Pizza Port. Lively carbonation.
Not one of my favorite Pizza Port DIPAs nor one of my favorite fresh hop beers that they do.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Draft at Pizza Port. I didn’t think PP San Clemente could stand up to the others in terms of hoppy beers but this one made me think differently. Pours a beyond hazy dark gold with big white head. Aroma is stone fruit, hop, pineapple, peach and fun. Taste is again peach forward with some slight bitterness but more on the great mouth feel of what a DIPA should be. Sweet and bitter with that great combination of fruit/malt/bitter. The resin really works here. Loving this beer.
