Draught at Boulder Strong Ale Festival. Pours clear orange with a fizzy, off-white head, lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (grain, meal), heavy hops (flower, perfume, pine), heavy yeast (sweat) with notes of pear. Medium bodied, sticky texture, average carbonation, and a bitter finish. Long duration, light sweetness, heavy acidity and bitterness. Ratman197 (15364) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - MAR 3, 2009

On tap @ AZ Strong Beer Festival. Quite rose colored, especially compared to Lou P. Lin, with a small eggshell pour. Quite balanced, with a significant amount of caramel (yes, this could be because I just guzzled a hop bomb) along with floral hops. Medium mouthfeel...very solid!!! Crushed with Jakebra at BSAF. Sticky, amber pour. Smells and tastes infected. Thin-bodied, just straight-up leaves and some hop bitterness. Bummer. Sparky (2244) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - FEB 28, 2009

Clear amber with a white head. Big piney grapefruit aromas. Medium body. Lots of harshly bitter grapefruit citrusy hop flavors. Not near enough sweetness to temper the hop barrage, though. Good but not that good. Draft@PPSC alexanderj (3605) - Branson, Missouri, USA - OCT 21, 2008
On tap; clear, toasted gold/amber with a creamy white head. Grapefruit, sweet caramel aroma; some earthiness. Solid aroma. Pretty great flavor and great, creamy mouthfeel. Nice balance, but very hoppy. Caramel backbone, with a hint of sweetness, with grapefruit and flowers in the finish. Would like to know the ABV, because its very drinkable. Its getting pretty ridiculous with the amount of quality IPAs and IIPAs in San Diego.
