3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tap at Pizza Port San Clemente. Pours a hazy amber with 1/2" white head. Aroma is grassy, hop forward. Some pine and resin in there. Taste is a more subdued IPA for PP but really nice and refreshing. Citrus, some pine cleaning product smell/taste. Still an earthy bit to this one that I get from a lot of PP San Clemente IPAs. Not the best IPA in the world but really nice but I think PP Carlsbad still wins for IPAs.
Frothy white head, murky amber color. Sharp hop character, heady, grassy, mangoes, sharp interesting character. Very nice. wheresyourball (572) - El Cajon, California, USA - JUN 17, 2014
On tap at Churchills. Murky orange with white head. Nose is big, dank, fruity, herbal. Flavor is super dry, dank, and bitter, with a dry finish. Almost mouth-puckering. I can see why it wins metals: it’s extreme. Mortlach (2355) - Rome, ITALY - JAN 7, 2014
06/01/2014 Brasserie 4:20 (tap). Bevuta al Pizza Port Tap Takeover 2nd edition. Ambrata scarica, limpida, schiuma bianca abbondante, mediamente persistente.
On tap at Pizza Port Ocean Beach, pours a dark copper with a small white head. Aroma of resinous hops upfront, balanced by dry caramely biscuity malt. Flavour brings out soapy, floral hops, and dry biscuity malt. Very smooth, floral and soapy. Excellent depth to this - wonderful. Meilby (11517) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 13, 2013

Pours clear deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, caramel, grass, citrus, orange and pine. Taste is medium sweet and medium to heavy bitter with a long caramel, citrus fruity, pine and grassy finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
On tap at the brewpub. Pours clear golden with an off white head. Aroma of peach, pungent hops, some orange and malt. Flavor is sweet and bitter with some floral, citrus hops , orange zest and some malt. Medium body, average carbonation. yngwie (17078) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 13, 2013
On tap at the brewpub. A clear, dark golden beer with a small white head. Curtains. Pleasant pine cone aroma with a hint of malts and orange. Very bitter on the palate, full bodied and quite dry. Pine cones, some pale malts and orange peel in the flavor. Lasting finish. Sure a nice ipa, maybe a bit bitter to drink a lot of though. 130813 GT (10000) - San Diego, California, USA - AUG 8, 2013
Tap at Pizza Port SC. Clear, bright gold pour with smaller but rocky foam. Big lacing. Nose is bright starfruit, mild butterscotch, sharp orange peel. Taste is actually fairly malty, not sticky at all, but there is some Irish oatmeal and pale grist character before a smack of fruity hops and long grapefruit finish. Palate isn’t as silky, butterscotch as I like but more soapy, rindy white grapefruit. Nice. DedicatedToFun (4000) - Santa Monica, California, USA - AUG 7, 2013
Overall very good IPA, I really liked this, on tap at the brewery, piney, hops, yum. Blairgus (4613) - California, USA - AUG 4, 2013
4 aug 2013, growler. Gold, clear, no bubbles. Nose is big pine hops. Thin body and moderately fizzy. HUGE pine hops! Dry finish. Great but it would be a lot to drunk a whole glass.
