Pours black with a one finger tan head with nice lacing. Aroma is of roasted malts, coffee, winter spices, vanilla, orange, rosemary, juniper berries, sweet malts, and coco. Taste is pretty similar to the aroma. Has a medium body with a semi-creamy mouthfeel and aostly sweet, long finish. Draught at Pizza Port Ocean Beach, San Diego. Very dark brown beer with a small beige head. Cinnamon aroma, vanilla, biscuits, caramel, licorice, chocolate, figs, raisins, nutmeg, some cardamom. Tap at PPOB. Hazy, deep ruby black pour with medium tan foam. Savory, smokey nose with candy cane and pine. Taste is soapy, thinner body at first, dusty, cocoa mix. Taste is nicely bitter, lively. Draft at Pizza Port Ocean Beach. Pours black with a thin khaki head that fades quickly. A fair amount of spice rack on the nose. There’s lots of different favors on the tongue but they seem kind of muddled. Solid but not mandatory.
