Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close.
Ok but a little sweet and 1D. greenhorn1 (850) - Mission Viejo, California, USA - OCT 25, 2013
On tap (8oz pour). Thick as tar and definitely can taste the bourbon. Also notes of vanilla and other complexities such as chocolate, coffee beans, etc. Worth trying and not to overbearing with the ABIV. Dogbrick (12932) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - OCT 11, 2013
Sample at the brewpub. This brew pours brownish-black with a medium tan head that diminishes gradually to a wispy film. Strings of lacing on the glass. aroma of chocolate, oak and malt. Medium to full-bodied with a subtle bourbon character and flavors of vanilla, coconut and malt. The finish is roasty with a chocolate and malt aftertaste. Pretty good overall. Tap at PPSC. Inky black pour with red highlights. Wispy coffee lacing. Nose is FW15 style blend of Parabola/Abacus. Dark chocolate and coconut nose explosion. Taste is rich coconut, toasted, dark chocolate. Rich, complete palate. Silky, decadent, no booziness at all or sticky. Really nice.
