Pour on tap at Avery Sourfest 2014, dark reddish brown pour with off white head, aroma brought notes of big sour fruit, red fruits into some lemon, hints of funk, basement, touch of oaky tones into some red wine, vinegar type notes. On tap @ Avery Sour Fest 2014. Pour is murky brown, almost black with a small tan head and good lacing. Big acidic aroma - red wine, toffee, caramelly, fruit peel, and metallic aroma. Taste is bread, pepper, cocoa, oak, tannins, and cherry pit with a heavy sour finish. Slick mouthfeel with high carbonation. On tap @ Avery Sour Fest 2014. Pours a dark brown appearance with a brown head. Some vinegar and black cherries in the nose along with some roast and caramel. Very tannic flavor. >> Deep cloudy red pour, great layer of mocha foam. Nose is excellent bourbon barrel, huge chocolate, sour raspberry, blackberry pie, really nailing it on the best sour brown has to offer. Taste is tangy, clean, very sour, heavy citric lime, raspberry, could be reblended with non sour beer. Still, very good. I hope that they continue experimenting with dark sours.
On tap @ Brewbies 2014. Dark brown/mahogany pour with an off-white head. Nose is intense sourness along with a lot of cocoa powder, coffee, and toasted nuts. A bit of grassy funk and lemon juice. Flavor is lightly acetic, but still quite sour. Good roasted malt with some mild chocolate sweetness. Toasted nuts, mild grass, and a dry, lightly tannic finish. Perhaps some oak?

Tap on New Years day. Pours a deep brown to almost black with a tiny tan head. Aroma was sour prune and plum. Taste is more of a moderate sour with a fair amount of plum and some slight chocolate. A nice sour for a brewery just starting out in this realm.
