Strong hops and slightly spicy. Faint aroma but bold flavor. Medium weight and very drinkable. Good malt base to add bready flavors. Goes well their pizza. Autonetics1969 (10) - - DEC 28, 2015

A reddish copper ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with smooth floral hops, light mineral notes, pleasant. In mouth, a nice caramel malt with resinous floral hops, light grapefruit notes, light treacle, pleasant and smooth. On tap at Carlsbad location. tiong (7433) - Espoo, FINLAND - AUG 29, 2015

Pours clear golden color with a small head. Caramel malt on the nose, bread, some sweet fruits and pine, mild alcohol notes come through. Malty flavor as well, orange and resin. Decent.
Draught @ Pizza Port, Carlsbad. Aroma has resin, tropical fruits and grapefruit. Flavour has resin, aggressive hops with grapefruit and menthol. Nice, I like the resin here. BlackHaddock (7507) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 30, 2015
27th May 2015: on my second flight of beers at the other Carlsbad Pizza Port (but brewed at Bressi according to the beer board). Hoppier than most ’reds’ I have tasted but with plenty of maltiness too. Mild citrus notes play with sweeter fruits while the semi-sweet malts balance out the brew nicely. Aroma: intense hops, some grain. Appearance: dark, clear amber, small head. Taste: light bitter. Palate: dry bitters intensify, some grain malts and floral hops dueling. Overall: OK Red Ale, yet really nothing special. Pint at Pizza Port, Carlsbad.
