Hmm, the beer we tried was called Shark Bite Imperial Red Ale... Not sure if that’s the same beer or not, but it was tasty! Loads of malt to balance out the incredible amount of hop presence. This one is thick and syrupy, like liquid gold. Smooth and very mellow in spite of how big this beer is. Very nice. trokini (1025) - San Diego, California, USA - AUG 20, 2007
Clear, deep red with a short off-white head. Hoppy, citrus aroma. Good pine and resin qualities as well, with very little malt. More flavor that the Shark Bite, but still nicely balanced. Grapefruit, oranges, wood, malt, and a little caramel. bager (2120) - Copenhagen N, DENMARK - SEP 10, 2006
On tap. Clear dark brown and reddish in coloured with a small head. Both malty and hoppy. Starting sweet and finishing bitter. ChazMania (669) - Oceanside, California, USA - JUL 30, 2006
Bottled, snagged from BevMo. Good tasting brew, hangs somewhere between a good Red and a good single IPA. More malty and smoother than a full IPA, but a little complex in flavor like and IPA.
I have only been to the PizzaPort site once, and I am way overdue for libations down that way... Crit (4024) - Surrey, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 7, 2006

Damn good amber ale. Hoppy, but not too hoppy. Seems almost to be their flagship ale, the restaurant is rarely without it. And I can’t seem to leave without having one every time. Malty enough to satisfy hunger. Hoppy enough to make you hungry. Huh? Storm (2684) - Amager, DENMARK - OCT 12, 2005
On tap from the brewpub. Tasted during trip to California. Brown colour. Some aroma of nuts and sweetness. Really amazing taste, extreme tasteful and light at same time. This is a "most try" if you come to Pizza Port (Solona Beach). beerinmarch (2830) - Washington, USA - AUG 30, 2005
On tap at the 2005 OBF. Pours mahogany with a small off-white head. Big citrus hops in the nose giving this beer a very crisp, long trailing, bitter finish. Malts tasted kinda caramel and cerealy. Nice beer, but the bitterness just stays with you forever. jackamackson (127) - USA - AUG 6, 2005
had this at OBF. amber pour, with a light head. malty aroma, a little hops in there too. decently full mouthfeel, caramelly malt base and a good bite from the piney hops to balance it. this was ok but pretty "meh" xenthem0nk (101) - Oregon, USA - JUL 31, 2005
Poured a nice bubbly 1 inch head at the Oregon Brew Festival, that faded quick. Sweet nose, yet a bit more bitter then my nose prepared me for. Strong malty carmel taste with a hoppy finish.
