Growler… Clear, deeply golden ale with nice orange highlights and a small, creamy, white head. Musky, earthy, grapefruity nose. Medium-bodied and raspy with soft carbonation. Lots of lupulin flavor, but the bitterness is not overbearing. Lengthy, grassy, dry finish. Growler courtesy of WeeHeavySD! jimbowood (1036) - Freeport, Georgia, USA - DEC 26, 2009
Amazing hop body on the palate. Nose is muted. Looks a little watery, but man this thing tastes like sd hops. Reallllly good. badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - DEC 16, 2009
Clear golden with a fluffy white head. Grapefruit and pine aroma and taste with a drybitter finish. Decent. ajm (1072) - Los Angeles, California, USA - DEC 13, 2009
Nose is full of honey, features dank hops and balancing malts. Flavor is much the same with the sweetness and hops coming through. I don’t know what to say except that this should be listed as an IPA - it is that robust and balanced.

On tap at PP Carlsbad. Orange yellow color. Nice sticky foam head. Mild citrusy grapefruit hop bitterness. Mild, but nice hoppy aroma. Very good. Easy to drink. Lubiere (14151) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 6, 2009
A hazed golden amber ale with a thick off white head. In aroma, a nice bready malt aroma with light floral hops, piney resins, some notes of kiwi. In mouth, a nicely hopped pale ale with fresh green hops, a bit of citrus notes, light, fragrant and pleasant. On tap at Ballast Point 13 Anniv. Beer Festival , Oct. 24 2009. alexanderj (3605) - Branson, Missouri, USA - NOV 2, 2009
On tap at PP Carlsbad a few weeks back. Color was a bit murky; dirty amber. Aroma of citrus, caramel and fruit. Flavor had a lot of citrus and caramel. Not too hoppy however for an IPA, but solid for an APA. Maybe in between. Bitter and earthy. marcus (10669) - Sacramento, California, USA - OCT 31, 2009
On tap at Toronado. This orange/gold beer poured with a thin off-white head and a fruity aroma. There is a rich caramel malt flavor with a pleasant piney hop bitterness. A nice brew. bb (9789) - Alamo, California, USA - OCT 28, 2009
Draft. Amber beer with a light cream colored head. Summer fruit aroma. Pine and summer fruit flavor with light grapefruit. Medium bodied. Nice bitterness. Pine and grapefruit linger. Bordering on IPA.
