Yum. Orange pour with a short bubbly white head. Bubblebum and banana in the nose are reflective of what you get in the flavor. Malt and fruitiness in the back. Initially thought this was a trippel, with the amount of bubblegum. Who cares, this is a great beer. 21iceman40 (1735) - Grafton, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 19, 2006
well holy good fuckin lord, i guess im the 2nd person that had the pleasure of rating this fine brew. This one was orange, and it was quite good, it had a very deep bitterness without tastin like the traditional inside of a hospital glove. lots of dark fruits made it solid on the taste. badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - APR 27, 2008
ON tap at brewery. Copper brown with a fizzy white head. Sweet fruit and belgian yeast aroma. Raisin, Sugar, Banana, and clove taste. Quite good. 505 (271) - Echo Park, California, USA - JUL 29, 2007
Orangish pour with a small white head. Sweet and yeasty aromas. The flavor impressed me as many BSA’s are far too overwhelming in one way or another. This hit a nice balance though, sweet, yeasty, bananas, warm alcohol, and citrus, but none overwhelming the other. Pretty good. bikesandbeers (547) - san diego, California, USA - SEP 8, 2007
on tap at Pizza Port, Solana Beach July 07. Amberish with a thin white head that quickly disapeered. belgian yeasty aroma with some nice spiceness, body is fairly thin and the beer is very drinkable, although slightly lacking in complexity.

On draft at PP Carlsbad.
Appearance is a clear and deep orange hue, minimal white head, moderate lacing on the glass.
Smell is sweet light fruits, honey, floral hops, honeysuckle, orange blossom, raisins, belgian yeast, spices, sweet malts.
Taste is an initial blast of honey, pear, floral/grassy hops, and Belgian candy, quickly transitions to underlying sweet bread malts, finishes dry and overly bitter.
Mouthfeel is medium-bodied, watery thin texture, high carbonation levels.
Drinkability is very good, this is a flavorful Belgian with good malt/hop/fruit balance, points off for texture and strangely bitter aftertaste, regardless I still almost got a growler fill. beerguy101 (5360) - Newark, California, USA - JAN 1, 2007
Tasted on tap at the 2006 Pizza Port Strong Ale Fest. This golden ale pours an orange gold color. Large sized creamy white foamy head. Aroma is fruity, yeasty and sweet. A medium bodied Belgian golden Ale. Malts are fruity and sweet. Bright yeasts. Lot of tropical fruit flavors with some spices. Nice carbonation. Crisp and clean. Nice beer. Very drinkable. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet. CaptainCougar (7133) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - APR 15, 2007
On tap at the 10th Annual San Diego Strong Ale Festival: Pours a clear copper bronze with a large, frothy, well-lacing white head. Aroma of lightly sweet, toasty Belgian caramel malt and peppery yeasty notes. Starts sweet, bready and toasty with some light clove and banana character toward an authentic, complex, drier finish. A well-balanced and drinkable Belgian strong ale. hapjydeuce (1001) - Carlsbad, California, USA - JUN 7, 2008
On tap at Pizza Port Carlsbad. This is a pretty tasty Belgian that reminds me of the spicy blond wintertime brews, with huge notes of clove and fruit. Hazy yellow color with minimal white head, with lots of fizz. The aroma is light banana, clove, apricot and pear. Very sweet flavor with tones of bubblegum, more clove, ginger and a touch of juniper. Ends light and sweet for an 8% beer. AcctError65545 (1547) - Mesa, Arizona, USA - FEB 28, 2009
