Name: Special Pale Ale (Short Bus)
clear amber, lots of tiny bubbles, fine solid off white head, nice lace, great sweet citrus aroma, hop flavor on dry malt, long long bitter finish
Aroma: 7/10; Appearance: 7/10; Flavor: 7/10; Palate: 6/10; Overall: 13/20
Aroma of sweet malt giving way to beautiful floral hops, with some peaches thrown in. Appears a clear golden-age with minimal effervescence and with no head to speak of. Flavor is of grapefruit giving way to a distinctly grainy aftertaste. Palate is medium to medium-light and appropriate. Overall, an okay beer but with signifcant flaws in the flavor and appearance. realale420 (399) - west covina, California, USA - SEP 11, 2006
12oz bottle poured a clear amber/pale color with a nice rocky off white head and wonderful lacing. The aromas were resinous citrus and pine with a nice malt background. The taste had the perfect amount of bitterness to just stand out over the malts without overpowering. A great dry hoppy finish makes you want more and more. Overall another well put together beer from PP. Emil (6065) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - AUG 10, 2006
Bottle. Orange colour with a big tan head. Malty, floral hop, light citric aroma and a sweet malty, dry, floral hop, citric taste. Medium body with a sweet very dry finish. Ungstrup (38138) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - AUG 9, 2006
An unclear orange beer with a thick orange head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of hops combined with light notes of alfa acids. The flavor is sweet malty with primary notes of grapefruit, leading to a dry and very bitter end.

Hazy orange coloured with an off white head.
Aroma of caramel, hops and pine needles.
Flavour of caramel, hops and pine needles. 505 (271) - Echo Park, California, USA - AUG 2, 2006
Beautiful citrus, floral, and malty aroma. Pours an amberish brown. Flavor isn’t half bad either. Lots of bitterness, but nice malt to complement it. Medium body. Nice beer. skoisirius (1909) - Earth, Washington, USA - JUL 30, 2006
12 oz bottle into a Snifter glass (thanks to Larry Pitonka!). Pours a amberish orange brown with a thin whiter head. The aroma is citrusy, malty hoppy, and floral. The flavor is very nice and balanced starting off with a nice malty hopped note with citrus backing that progresses into a bitter hop end, but the bitterness is not overwhelming, its actually very pleasant. While all the while being hoppy is tends to be very sweet at this same time (something I enjoy, balance is good!). This was my first Pizza Port brew, and I am very impressed! Orangish brown body, small head. Aroma is the usual stuff. Grapefruit, citrus, caramel, other fruits. Maybe some light floral notes. Fairly bitter finish. I was expecting something really interesting for my first PP beer, but I just got a solid by the numbers IPA. Kevster (344) - Bradenton, Florida, USA - JUL 5, 2006
Bottle: Pours copper in color with an frothy off-white head. Hoppy aroma is citrusy and sweet. Flavor is malty with hints of grapefruit bitterness in the finish. Refreshing!
