Aroma of sweet malt giving way to beautiful floral hops, with some peaches thrown in. Appears a clear golden-age with minimal effervescence and with no head to speak of. Flavor is of grapefruit giving way to a distinctly grainy aftertaste. Palate is medium to medium-light and appropriate. Overall, an okay beer but with signifcant flaws in the flavor and appearance.
On tap at Harry’s Hofbrau. I assume Kevin must have laid this keg down for a whlie. Moderate high pine with bright ripe citrus. Clear orange-amber with a massive, billowy white head. Taste is assertive citrus and pine mixed together. Moderate high bitterness holds this back from being a great beer. PotjeBier (3183) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - NOV 4, 2013
Backlog, from notes. Keg & Cask side by side @ the brewpub, 12 May 2001. The keg version had aroma’s of sweet malts & sweet fruits (apricots), whereas the cask version had much more (fresh) hops. Flavor: moderate sweet and moderate bitter, with a solid bitter finish, the cask version even more so. Cask version wins. illidurit (2327) - San Francisco, California, USA - AUG 14, 2012

Clear golden with a tiny white head. Yeasty aroma with fruity and hoppy notes. Flavour was dry and had plenty of hops, pine and grapefruit. Finished bitter.

On tap at Toronado.
Pours cloudy golden with a one-finger white head. Would like a bit more clarity to such a beer, but oh well, who cares about appearance really?
The aroma is big on citrusy hops. Lots of grapefruit and some floral hints. Smells like a very good California IPA.
Come on guys, this is really an IPA. The predominant flavor note is citrusy malts. Grapefruit, orange, and tangerine with a slight spicy note. Just a little pale malt to back it up.
Crisp on the palate with medium body and lots of hop resins. Carbonation is medium for the style.
Excellent beer overall. I really enjoyed this one. Terminus (3676) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - MAR 20, 2010
