A hazy orange beer with an orange head. The aroma is sweet and very flowery as well as spicy. The flavor is very flowery and fruity - I pick up mango, but other exotic fruits hide in the background. The alcohol gives the tongue a slight burn. joergen (27970) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - DEC 4, 2005
Hazy golden coloured with a medium sized white head.
Fruity aroma with notes of spices and light acidic notes.
Fruity flavour of spices and wood with light acidic notes. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - DEC 18, 2005
(Bottle 75 cl) Unclear orangey golden with a small, white head. Yeasty, spicy nose. Lots of sweet malt. Spicy, gingery notes and a touch of citrus. Short, dry hoppiness in the finish. 031205 omhper (24959) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - OCT 20, 2004
Bottled, thanks Dr.Bill! Bronze colour, fluffy head. Apricot and farmyard aroma. Candy and dense malt. Lightly fruity and citric with rounded, lively mouthfeel. A fantastic, Fantôme-style saison. Oakes (17274) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 23, 2005
Cloudy golden amber. Very spicy aroma - slightly hot, flowery with dusty yeast and breadcrusty malt notes in the background. Flavor has an anise accent, firm breadcrusty maltiness whole grain style and a hint of nutmeg, clove. Fresh, vibrant with bracing spices, this is a pretty damn good saison.

A: The pour is a goldenrod sort of color with a large white head that displays some pretty good retention.
S: The nose offers up some good spice notes/yeast esters along with bready malts and a moderate sweetness. The citrus notes are pretty much gone on this one, but there is a hint of lemon and lemon zest.
T: A fair amount of spice notes opens up the palate: pepper, ginger, and citrus rind. Mildly sweet and bready malts round things out.
M: The body is medium with a lively carbonation to it and a really long finish.
D: This beer does show some signs of decay, but it has actually held up quite well. That said, I wouldn’t necessarily advise hanging on to this much longer. MiP (15650) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - DEC 15, 2005
Bottle. Quite clear, dark golden colour. Hop aromatic. Flavour has some yoghurt, and a little metal. Otherwise malty and fruity. bhensonb (15079) - Woodland, California, USA - DEC 21, 2005
Gingery orange accents. Tingly, perhaps from the white pepper. These folks rank right in with the ones from Chambly. Goes well with a good book. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - SEP 6, 2002
Hazy golden. Strong spicy aroma -- coriander, orange, banana, ginger. Flavor is really spicy too -- sweet, tangy, slightly lemony, coriander, peppery. Alcohol is slightly noticeable in the aftertaste. This one is really complex, and I could never imagine drinking more than one of these at a time. Crazy hazy orange beer with crazy spewing foam white head. Volcanic! Spicey coconut aroma...like the SPF sunscreen. I remember a yeast emitting coconut overtones in a beer in the past...interesting. Ginger and cloves tastes with alcohol and chunks of cococnuts coming in a certian points. Rich bodied beer. Lather my mouth with SPF 45. Merci Rasta!
