Hazy golden coloured body with a frothy white head. Aroma of pure hops - very nice. Medium-bodied; Plentiful hoppy tastes up front with grapefruits, oranges and pine noticeable. Strong malt backbone behind the beer comes across very nicely. Aftertaste has a lot of character and most of it is the hops - which is very nice for this beer! Overall, a nice beer - worth trying if you can find it...especially on the east coast! I sampled this beer on draught at RFD in Washington D.C. on 15 December 2006. Tap at PP Carlsbad: Amber hue with a lasting frothy head and very good lace. The aroma has notes of piney and grassy hop, a slight pineapple and grapefruity esters, hint of hop spice and some bready notes. The taste is a straight forward hop bitterness with notes of citrus and spice. The malt is mild and acts to provide some balance. The mouth feel is crisp and refreshing, easy to drink. A solid well made IPA. badlizard (5533) - Berkeley, California, USA - OCT 27, 2007

On tap at PP Carlsbad. Small head, microbubble ring around the edge of the glass. Light clear amber color. Ligh hop aroma, but stronger hop bitterness. Easy to drink and great with pizza. brianjames1 (539) - Northridge, California, USA - OCT 15, 2007
On tap at Pizza Port Carlsbad. For an IPA has a very faint aroma. Flavor was very floral and very hoppy, great taste but needs some work and needs to be balanced better.

WA Cask Beer Fest ’06. Pours somewhat amber with a small white head. Citrus aroma. Big lemon taste. Bitter as can be. Not overly in mix with any malt backing but truly awesome regardless.

Must be a pretty new beer as only 7 people have had this. Was lucky enough to get this on tap at RFD in Washington DC. Very dry beer, all hops. Very tart, with pineapple and dry pine cones and needles. Body is dark golden, with a cream head. Nice IPA, a little one dimensional however. At least its different and NOT overly sweet like many other versions of this style. jazz88 (2679) - San Francisco, California, USA - DEC 15, 2006
Tap @ Toronado. A brownish golden color with a laced white head. A medium body but intensely bitter on the palate with a fresh hop finish. Liquid hops. A hint of burnt toast in the flavor. kmweaver (3207) - Petaluma, California, USA - DEC 13, 2006
Tap at RFD in DC. Pours a golden-amber; off-white head with strong lacing. Lemony citrus and pine hops in the aroma, slightly reserved aroma; hints of candy sugar. Medium, sweet mouthfeel: plenty of fresh hop resins (floral and citrus), pleasant carbonation; candy sugar and slightly mouth-drying - has a red ale feel to it. Finish is quick: floral hops and sugar. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - DEC 5, 2006
