On tap. Hazy yellow with a white head. Light aroma of yeast and spices. Medium body, banana, yeast and a little phenols. Dry finish. 060709 SamGamgee (2585) - down the whirlpool, California, USA - JUL 8, 2009
Draught at the brewpub. Honey-gold color with a white head. Fragrant and floral aroma with light spiciness and vanilla. The flavor is spicy with cinnamon and has a minty, herbal hop finish. Light bodies with medium carbonation. I was expecting a boring blonde ale (the board said nothing about it being a Belgian Blonde) but this was pretty good stuff, packing a lot of flavor into a light and drinkable beer that I could see even the casual beer drinker getting into. I thought at first that the bartender had poured some other beer, but it all makes sense now JohnnyJ (5571) - San Diego, California, USA - JUL 3, 2009
I think this beer shows that there is a large difference between a belgian style golden ale and an american blonde. I was expecting a blonde, this is not a light blonde. Slightly hazy orangish yellow pour. Fruit and stale funky malt in the aroma. Flavor is quite spicy with grain, fruit, banana, bread, herbal hops, and pepper. It is nothing light, not an easy drinking blonde, interesting thats how it is classified. Ungstrup (38986) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUN 24, 2009
Draft in Carlsbad. A hazy light golden beer with a white head. The aroma malty combined with light notes of straw. The flavor is sweet malty with lighter notes of straw and citrus. alexanderj (3605) - Branson, Missouri, USA - SEP 8, 2008
Sample at PP Carlsbad; poured a clear, rich gold with not much head. Aroma was honey, bread and herbal. Some more yeast in the flavor with a good herbal taste. Enjoyed this alot for the style.

On tap at PP C-Bad. Amazingly clear straw yellow hue with a thing white head. Nose is spices galore (sage, ginger, mint), some cotton candy and crisp malts. Taste is sage and spices up front, transitions to green earthy hops and crisp malts. Light-bodied, watery texture, mild carbonation. Overall, a surprisingly flavorful and spicey blond ale that is well in the session range. Light and tasty! mgumby10 (1856) - Jupiter, Florida, USA - AUG 31, 2008
Draft. Pours a crystal clear straw gold, with a medium white head. Smells of surprisingly crisp grain and very very subtle hops. The flavor is mostly cereal grain and corn, with a small malty presence. Really just as basic as it gets here. Light little sweetness is noticeable on the tongue, but other than that its a lawnmower beer for me. hopscotch (11451) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - AUG 31, 2008
Draft... RBSG... Clear, light yellow ale with a mid-sized, frothy, white head. Smells like corn and honey. Light-bodied with ex carbonation. The flavor is mainly sweet orange blossom honey alongside mild acidity. Lightly sweet, lightly tart finish. beerinmarch (2830) - Washington, USA - AUG 16, 2008
RBSG 2008. Pale gold in the glass with a soft white head. Grassy citrus and mild estery spice fills the nose. Hints of tropical fruits, dried pineapple and lime over a bready crisp base. Ok, but fell apart a bit in the finish with some off flavors. doubleo (1432) - San Diego, California, USA - AUG 10, 2008
On-tap at PP C’Bad. Hops shortage be damned. Great brew. Pours hazy, golden yellow with a good sized creamy white head, some lace. Smells like a pilsner, crisp and light malty with some hints of spice. Tastes crisp malty with alot of piney sage flavor, very nice. Medium smooth body, good carbonation.
