"It’s hard to believe we’ve been slingin’ pizzas for 20 years since March of 1987! That’s about 7300 days or 175,200 happy hours of fun! We’re excited to celebreate by brewing and bottling up a beer to share a special toast! Swami’s IPA is one of our best selling beers. Many have called it the original San Diego IPA. As such, it’s been a big part of Pizza Port Solana Beach since we installed the brewing system in 1992. A bold IPA hopped to the extreme with galena, Centennial and Cascade hops. We also add a healthy dose of dry hops in the serving tank and always serve it unfiltered. Thank you so much to everyone who has been sharing the memories along the unbelievable way...Cheers!"

Translucent, magnifying orangey copper with a thick, café frothed and orange tinted head. Aroma rings with honeydew and lemon grass, freshly cut after a mid-summer rain. It’s timed perfectly for the season. Sweet orange crème toffee crests on the aromatic ridge. Bitter peaches trollop with maple covered grapefruit. Peaches, amaretto and balsa wood interweave. Honeyed marigolds and tinctured carbonation ride a horizontal line across the tongue. A gentle, grassy ridge cuts sweet bitterness to the edge. Thanks for the 750-ml. bottle, tpkenned!

I absolutely love this beer. I genuinely can’t find an IPA i enjoy more. While having the the visual characteristics of a Lager the hopiness paired with the crispness makes for an extremely enjoyable drinking experience.

Smells of cat piss and vegetables. Little bread notes and clear as a bell. Love the brewery in OB and glad they can now.

Poured from a 16 oz can with a canning date of 09/28/2016. Aroma is very hop forward, but with a somewhat old school hop profile. Lots of resin, pine, grapefruit, citrus and a slight, dank, oniony note. Light to medium light cracker malt notes and a hint of alcohol. Pours a fairly clear, bright gold color with a medium sized, fairly thick and pillowy, white head that shows good retention as it very slowly recedes to the edges where it lingers. Moderately high lacing and small legs. Flavor has a medium light sweetness with a medium light cracker malt note and a hint of biscuit. High bitterness and a light alcohol spiced note. Fairly high hop flavors with a lot of resin, pine and grapefruit. some lighter citrus and dank notes as well. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a good clean IPA with a strong old school hop profile. Tons of hop character from the dry hopping. Good alcohol and sweetness to balance the bitterness.

Slightly hazy golden liquid with a large foamy white head. Aroma is pine, citrus and exotic fruits. Taste is refreshing with loads of hops. This is all a IPA should be. Great stuff!!

Can thx Alex for the gift A: grapefruit, citrusy, melon, orange. Close to 2 months old can App: hazy pale thick white lasting head and great lacing.t/p: med body with long bitter finish. Moderate carbonation. O: it’s not super old but I still feel that fresher it would have score higher. It look really nice and it has close to a perfect texture. Aroma is simply not present enough for my liking. That said I would buy it again not doubt if a fresher can cross my path.
