"It’s hard to believe we’ve been slingin’ pizzas for 20 years since March of 1987! That’s about 7300 days or 175,200 happy hours of fun! We’re excited to celebreate by brewing and bottling up a beer to share a special toast! Swami’s IPA is one of our best selling beers. Many have called it the original San Diego IPA. As such, it’s been a big part of Pizza Port Solana Beach since we installed the brewing system in 1992. A bold IPA hopped to the extreme with galena, Centennial and Cascade hops. We also add a healthy dose of dry hops in the serving tank and always serve it unfiltered. Thank you so much to everyone who has been sharing the memories along the unbelievable way...Cheers!"

On tap at PP Solana beach, listed as their own IPA, but w/o the "harvest" descriptor. Orange amber color. Tight frothy head. Med-high early boil bitterness. Muted hop aroma, except through the back of the nose. Sometimes I lose smell sensation in a pizza place. Is it smell overload, or lower carbonation. Still very good, and reasonably easy to drink.

It’s like a rest after a hard swim. I just finished Pliny the Younger and Expo Hoppiness, and this is so much milder. Poured a deliciously mellow, couldy, burnt orange from a cask. Quickly dying head. A little watery, but otherwise good.

On tap at Thunder Canyon, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out dank piney hops and she biscuity malt. Flavour is bone dry, with piney hops and biscuity malt, and a very bitter finish. Nice stuff.

16oz can - pours a clear very light golden yellow with a thick soapy bubble off white head. The aroma is citrusy - grapefruit, pith and lemon...a hint of floral and grassy hops as well. Great clarity, light body and descent carbonation. Well put together flavors of mostly citrus hops, a little pine and a light crackery malt.

Can. Pours gold with a white head. Some citric fruity hop bitterness, light sweet malts, crisp flowery notes, and a clean and sharp hoppy finish. Pretty good.

Very nice light golden color. Piney, grassy, a bit spicy. Medium bodied. For some reason, I like it better out the can than out of a glass. Good enough that I buy it semi regularly. That said, it’s not a beer I get excited about.
