On tap at solana PP. Pitch black with a good mocha tan head. Smells of rich dark chocolate and molasses. Velvet smooth and rich and thick on the tongue. Coffee caramel chocolate and some bitter hops. Good long finish of flavor. Excellent!! wetherel (1883) - Cupertino, California, USA - JUN 15, 2008
On tap at PP Solano beach. No growlers (unfortunately, so I can’t trade it, and thus number of ratings will be more limited). Thick black color. Light tan head. Medium to small bubble head. Lots and lots and lots of chocolatey espresso aroma and flavor. It’s over the top. No burnt flavors that I don’t like. Nice lacing. Heavy body. Very few beers have this much flavor. Along the lines of speedway, but more flavor. The overwhelming flavor will be highly regarded in the "All top 50 beers must be imperial stouts" crowd. I think it will mellow and improve some with some aging (especially of the barrel kind). Excellent!!
